39.8 The ONT Storm/DDOS/Loopguard Screen
Use this screen to view the status of storm control, DDoS, and loop guard on an ONT.
Click Storm/DDOS/Loopguard in the Advanced Application > ONT Quick Setup screen to display the
screen as shown.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.
Auto get IP This field displays whether the ONT is using a DHCP IP address or a static IP address.
Enable - The WAN interface can obtain an IP address from a DHCP server.
Disable - The WAN interface is using a static IP address.
IP address This field displays the current IP address of the ONT in the WAN.
IP Mask This field displays the current subnet mask in the WAN.
Gateway This field displays the IP address of the default gateway.
Primary DNS This field displays the first DNS server address assigned by the ISP.
Second DNS This field displays the second DNS server address assigned by the ISP.
Paging
Prev/Next Click Prev or Next to show the previous/next screen if all status information cannot be seen in one
screen.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
This is the identifier for the GPON interface.
ONT AID This field displays the ONT’s ID.
Storm Control
Threshold
This field displays the maximum rate in packets per second (pps) that packets are allowed to
arrive at the remote ONT.
You can configure the rate in the Storm Threshold field of the Advanced Application > ONT
Template screen.
Broadcast
Over Threshold
This field displays the maximum number of unknown broadcast packets can be received on the
remote ONT.
When the limit of unknown broadcast packets is reached, the remote ONT will drop the unknown
broadcast packets.
You can configure the rate in the Storm Threshold field of the Advanced Application > ONT
Template screen.
