54.7 Switch Setup
Use these commands to configure OLT switch setup.
54.8 IP Setup
This section covers how to configure the default gateway device, the default domain name server and
add IP domains.
The OLT needs an IP address for it to be managed over the network. The factory default IP address is
192.168.1.1. The subnet mask specifies the network number portion of an IP address. The factory default
subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
On the OLT, as a layer-3 device, an IP address is not bound to any physical ports. Since each IP address
on the OLT must be in a separate subnet, the configured IP address is also known as IP interface (or

COMMAND DESCRIPTION M P
vlan-type <802.1q>
Specifies the VLAN type. Currently the OLT
supports IEEE 802.1q VLAN.
C13
bcp-transparency
Enables Bridge Control Protocol (BCP)
transparency on the OLT. This allows the OLT to
handle bridging control protocols (STP, for
example).
C13
no bcp-transparency
Disables BCP transparency on the OLT. C 13
mac-aging-time <60-1000000>
Sets learned MAC aging time in seconds. MAC
address learning reduces outgoing traffic
broadcasts. For MAC address learning to occur
on a port, the port must be active.
C13
queue priority <0-7> level <0-7>
Sets the IEEE 802.1p priority level-to-physical
queue mapping.
Priority <0-7>: IEEE 802.1p defines up to eight
separate traffic types by inserting a tag into a
MAC-layer frame that contains bits to define
class of service. Frames without an explicit
priority tag are given the default priority of the
ingress port.
Level <0-7>: The OLT has eight physical queues
that you can map to the 8 priority levels. On the
OLT, traffic assigned to higher index queues gets
through faster while traffic in lower index queues
is dropped if the network is congested.
