6.3.2 Creating a VLAN
Follow the steps below to configure port 2 as a member of VLAN 102.
1 Access the web configurator through the OLT’s management port.
2 Click Advanced Application > VLAN > Static VLAN.
3 In the Static VLAN screen, select ACTIVE, enter a descriptive name (VLAN 102 for example) in the Name
field and enter 102 in the VLAN Group ID field.Select Fixed to configure port 2 to be a permanent
member of this VLAN.
4 Clear the TX Tagging check box to set the OLT to remove VLAN tags before sending.
5 Click Add to save the settings to the run-time memory. Settings in the run-time memory are lost when the
OLT’s power is turned off.

6 Click the VLAN Port Setting link in the VLAN Status screen.
7 Enter 102 in the PVID field for port 2 to add a tag to incoming untagged frames received on that port so
that the frames are forwarded to the VLAN group that the tag defines.
8 Click Apply to save your changes back to the run-time memory.
