56.8 GARP Configuration
Switches join VLANs by making a declaration. A declaration is made by issuing a Join message using
GARP. Declarations are withdrawn by issuing a Leave message. A Leave All message terminates all
registrations. GARP timers set declaration timeout values.
56.8.1 GARP Commands Summary
The following section lists the commands for this feature.
VLAN Port Port VID This is the VLAN ID assigned to untagged frames that this port
received.
Acceptable Frame
Type
You may choose to accept both tagged and untagged
incoming frames, just tagged incoming frames or just untagged
incoming frames on a port.
Ingress filtering If set, the OLT discards incoming frames for VLANs that do not
have this port as a member.

Configures GARP time settings (in milliseconds),
including the join, leave and leave all timers for
each port. Leave Time must be at least two
times larger than Join Timer, and Leave All Timer
must be larger than Leave Timer.
