29.3.5 Option 82
Use this screen to append the Circuit ID and Remote ID to PPPoE discovery packets of a VLAN.
You can also use special characters to add GPON Options (dynamic information) of an ONT to PPPoE
discovery packets from PPPoE clients on a per-vlan basis. You can determine the order of components
in your Circuid ID and Remote ID strings manually.
The OLT will get the GPON Options (dynamic information) of the ONT(s) from traffic on the VLAN.
It’s recommended to use this screen for more flexibility in configuring Circuit and Remote ID information.
See Table 101 on page 255 for more information.
Click the Option 82 link in the Intermediate Agent screen to display the screen as shown.

Apply Click Apply to display the specified range of VLANs in the section below.
VID This field displays the VLAN ID of each VLAN in the range specified above. If you configure the *
VLAN, the settings are applied to all VLANs.
* Use this row to make the setting the same for all VLANs. Use this row first and then make
adjustments on a VLAN-by-VLAN basis.
Changes in this row are copied to all the VLANs as soon as you make them.
Enabled Select this option to turn on the PPPoE Intermediate Agent on a VLAN.
Circuit-id Select this option to make the Circuit ID settings for a specific VLAN take effect.
Remote-id Select this option to make the Remote ID settings for a specific VLAN take effect.
Apply Click Apply to save your changes to the OLT’s run-time memory. The OLT loses these changes if it
is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your
changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
