83.3 Command Examples
In this example, the OLT (A) is an Area Border Router (ABR) in an OSPF network.
Figure 281 OSPF Network Example
This example enables OSPF on the OLT, sets the router ID to 172.16.1.1, configures an OSPF area ID as
0.0.0.0 (backbone) and enables simple authentication.
passive-iface <ip-addr/bits>
Sets the interface to be passive.
A passive interface does not send or receive
hello packets in the OSPF network. If hello
packets can’t be sent out from the passive
interface, a neighbor relationship won’t be
formed. Thus, this prevents attackers to have
access in the OSPF network.
C13
no passive-iface <ip-addr/
bits>
Sets the interface to not be passive. C 13
summary-address <ip-addr>
<mask>
Sets a summary address which is a network IP
address used to cover more than one network
routing entry in order to reduce the routing table
size.
C13
no summary-address <ip-add>
<mask>
Removes a summary address. C 13
no router ospf
Disables OSPF on the OLT. C 13
