OLT2406 User’s Guide
589
For example, you cannot create an active static route that routes traffic for 192.168.10.1/24 to
172.23.44.51.
You can however, create this static route if it is inactive.
You can create an active static route that routes traffic for 192.168.10.1/24 to 192.168.1.1.
This example shows the current routing table.
The following table describes the labels in this display.
OLT2406# config
OLT2406(config)# ip route 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0 172.23.44.51
Error : The Action is failed. Please re-configure setting.

Table 304 show ip route static
LABEL DESCRIPTION
Idx The number of this static routing entry.
Active This field displays whether or not the static route is active.
Name Descriptive name of the static route for identification purposes.
Dest. Addr. This parameter specifies the IP network address of the final destination. Routing is
always based on network number. If you need to specify a route to a single host, use
a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 in the subnet mask field to force the network
number to be identical to the host ID.
Subnet Mask The subnet mask for this destination.
Gateway Addr. The IP address of the gateway. The gateway is an immediate neighbor of your OLT
that will forward the packet to the destination. The gateway must be a router on the
same segment as your OLT.
Metric The metric represents the "cost" of transmission for routing purposes. IP routing uses
hop count as the measurement of cost, with a minimum of 1 for directly connected
networks.
