PRELIMINARY
5) Align the connector with the probe port and carefully push into place, as shown in Figure 3-84.
6) Move the connector locking lever to the right to lock the probe in place, as shown in Figure 3-84.
7) Carefully position the probe cord so that it is free to move and is not resting on the floor, placing the
cable and probe head into one of the cable hooks or probe holders.
When the probe is connected, the user is required to select it (from the screen) in order to activate
it. To activate the probe, press the Probe button and select the desired probe.
NOTE: It is not necessary to turn OFF power to connect or disconnect a probe.
NOTE: LOGIQ-type probes have their locking mechanism on the probe connector of each probe and
should be used as instructed by the probe manufacturer.
NOTE: Pencil probes are pushed and locked into position. A release sleeve is located on the probe
connector; during removal, this needs to be pulled backwards to release the probe.

CAUTION
DO NOT BEND THE PROBE CABLE EXCESSIVELY (TO AVOID BREAKING THE CABLE).
FAULT CONDITIONS CAN RESULT IN ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD. DO NOT TOUCH THE
SURFACE OF PROBE CONNECTORS WHICH ARE EXPOSED WHEN THE PROBE IS REMOVED.
DO NOT TOUCH THE PATIENT WHEN CONNECTING OR DISCONNECTING A PROBE.
