PRELIMINARY
8-7-5 Probe Cable Holder Replacement Procedure
8-7-5-1 Tools
Use the appropriate Allen key as indicated in the Probe Cable Holder replacement procedure.
8-7-5-2 Preparations
Shut down the Vivid S5 N or Vivid S6 N ultrasound unit, as described in 4-2-3 "Power Shut Down" on
page 4-7.
8-7-5-3 Probe Cable Holder Removal Procedure
1) Raise the console to the maximum up position.
2) Working from the front of the system, use an Allen key to unscrew and remove the two screws that
fasten the Cable Holder bracket to the Support Arm, as shown in Figure 8-255.
3.) Remove the Cable Holder Bracket.
8-7-5-4 Probe Cable Holder Installation Procedure
1) Working from the front of the system, place the replacement Cable Holder bracket into position on
the Support Arm.
2) Return the two screws (previously removed) and use an Allen key to fasten the screws to secure
the Cable Holder firmly in place - refer to Figure 8-255.
3) Proceed to route the probe cables into the correct position, as described in section 8-7-5-4-1 on
page 8-204.
