NOTE: This test only applicable for Vivid S5 N or Vivid S6 N systems with a battery.

Step Task Expected Result(s)

Plug the service dongle (Technical Support plug) into
one of the USB ports on the Operator panel, or on the
rear.

Turn ON the Vivid S5 N or Vivid S6 N scanner. The red LED on the service dongle illuminates.

Move the service dongle between each of the four USB
ports in turn, checking that the LED illuminates correctly.
The red LED on the service dongle illuminates.

Task Expected Result(s)

Press the On/Off button on the control console for no
more than 3 seconds and select Standby.
The system enters Standby mode.

Turn OFF the system’s circuit breaker.
The system remains in Standby mode, indicated by the
On/Off button LED.

Turn ON the system’s circuit breaker.
Press the On/Off Button.
The system returns quickly to the Power-ON state - less
than 30 seconds.

Turn OFF the system’s circuit breaker. Press the On/Off
button for 1 sec. The system enters Standby mode.
Turn ON the system’s circuit breaker.
The system enters Standby mode and stays in this
mode. The On/Off button LED is steadily illuminated.

Turn OFF the system’s circuit breaker.
Press the On/Off button for 8 seconds.
The system enters the Power-OFF state. The On/Off
button LED is OFF.
