5-4-3 ETX Base Board
5-4-3-1 Overview of ETX Base Board Functions
The ETX Base Board connects all the peripheral modules to the ETX single board computer. The CPU
(see 5-4-2 "ETX SBC Central Processing Unit (CPU)" on page 5-24) is mounted on top of the ETX Base
Board.
The ETX Base Board provides interfaces to the following components:
•HDD
• Front End (RFI) Board
• USB ports
• Docking port, speaker phones and speaker jacks
• Keyboard
• Battery
•VGA
•Fans
• Power supply
The Power Management Controller (PMC), mounted on the ETX Base Board, ensures automatic
transition between the various power modes, stable DC condition, and provides power status LED
display.
