4-2-5 Using Removable Media (cont’d)
2.) Select 5 1/4 MO Disk
in the Eject Device menu to eject the MO Disk.
3.) Remove the ejected MO Disk from the MO Drive and place it in its cover box for storage in a safe
place.
4-2-5-4 Install CD-R Disk in CD Drive
1.) Press the Eject button on the right side of the CD Drive once to remove any media that may be
present inside the drive. In addition, press the Eject button on the keyboard or press ALT+E on the
alphanumeric keyboard and select CD-Rewriteable, then select Eject.
2.) Insert a CD-R disk into the CD drive with the label side facing upwards.
After a few seconds, the disk is available for reading, formatting or writing (depending on the type
of disk you used).
NOTE: When inserting the CD-R disk into the CD drive, a message is displayed confirming that the
media has been inserted. In addition, the CD icon (lower left bar) is enabled - indicating that
there is media in the CD drive.
4-2-5-5 Eject and Remove CD-R Disk from CD Drive
In some cases, the CD-R Disk is ejected automatically. If not automatically ejected, use the manual
ejection method as described in the following steps:
1.) Press the Eject button on the keyboard
OR
Press <Alt> + E on the alphanumeric keyboard to display the Eject Device menu (Figure 4-8 "Eject
Device Menu" on page 4-13).
2.) Select CD-Rewriteable in the Eject Device menu to eject the CD-R Disk.
NOTE: When ejecting the CD-R disk from the CD drive, the message Ejecting is displayed.
In addition, the CD icon (lower left bar) is grayed out indicating that there is no media in the CD
drive.
3.) Remove the ejected CD-R Disk from the CD Drive and place it in its cover box for storage in a safe place.

NOTICE
Do not eject the CD-R Disk using the button on front of the CD Drive.
