PRELIMINARY
8-6-1-4 Cabinet Cage Assembly Closing and Installation Procedure
NOTE: When performing the following installation procedure steps, it may be helpful to review the movie clips
previously referenced in the Cabinet Cage Assembly Opening and Removal Procedure.
1.) Fold the cabinet cage assembly in the closed position and fasten securely by tightening each of the
two thumbscrews on either side of the cabinet cage, as shown in Figure 8-140 on page 8-113.
2.) Carefully lift the cage into position on the system taking care to mount it properly on the securing
hinge - refer to Figure 8-139 on page 8-112.
3.) Make sure the securing hinge latch is properly closed - refer to Figure 8-138 on page 8-112.
4.) Place the end of the securing hook into the hole on the top of the cage door to fasten the door in
the open position (see Figure 8-131 on page 8-110).
5.) Reconnect the VGA Cable to the Back End.
6.) Fasten the two connectors to connect the KB Data cable to the KB outlet on the Back End and to the
ECG USB connector on the one side; on the other side to the bundle of cables connected to the DIB.
7.) Secure the KB Data cable to the battery bracket using a cable tie.
8.) Reconnect the Docking Connector to the Back End and fasten securely using the two knurled
(ridged) screws on the Docking Connector (refer to Figure 8-134 on page 8-111
).
9.) Reconnect the LAN connector to the Back End (refer to Figure 8-133 on page 8-110).
10.) Reconnect the end of the USB cable and secure in position with the cable clip, as shown in Figure 8-142.
11) Release the securing hook from the top of cage door, then carefully swing the door to the closed
position - see Figure 8-130 on page 8-109. See also note below and Figure 8-143.
NOTICE
When performing the next two steps, make sure the LAN and USB cables are placed over the thick
cable - i.e. not underneath (see Figure 8-142), otherwise the cage door will not close properly.
