8) While carefully lifting the DIB Box upwards, disconnect the LAN cable connection from underneath
then remove the DIB Box from the system - see Figure 8-221 below.
9.) Remove the DIB from the system.
8-6-14-4 DIB Installation Procedure
NOTE: When performing the following installation procedure steps, it may be helpful to review the movie clips
previously referenced in the DIB Removal Procedure.
1.) Return a new DIB Box to the system, placing it in the approximate position on the cage assembly.
2) While carefully lifting the DIB Box upwards, reconnect the LAN cable connection from underneath
- see Figure 8-221, above.
3) Fasten the three screws to secure the DIB Box on the cage assembly, as shown in Figure 8-220.
4) Reconnect each of the six internal cables to the DIB Box - refer to Figure 8-218 on page 8-174 and
Figure 8-219 on page 8-175.
5) Return the sub-woofer, as described in the “Sub-woofer Installation Procedure” on page 8-173.
6.) Return the Peripherals AC Outlet Connectors Panel, as described in “Peripherals AC Outlet
Connectors Panel Replacement Procedure” on page 8-167.
7.) Reconnect any peripherals previously connected to the system.
8) Return the front cover, as described in the “Front Cover Installation Procedure” on page 8-19.
9) Return the left and right side covers, as described in the “Left Side Cover Installation Procedure” on
page 8-7 and “Right Side Cover Installation Procedure” on page 8-5.
10.)Turn ON power to the system.
11.)Proceed to perform the following functionality tests:
- 10-6-4 "Grounding Continuity" on page 10-23
- 10-6-5 "Chassis Current Leakage Test" on page 10-24
- 4-3-1-4 "Speakers Tests" on page 4-21
- 4-3-1-1 "Alphanumeric Keyboard Test" on page 4-18
- 4-3-1-2 "Extended Keyboard and Trackball Test" on page 4-18
- 4-3-1-5 "Light Detector Test for Vivid S6 N only" on page 4-22
- 4-3-4-1 "USB Test" on page 4-37
- 4-3-1-6 "Monitor Test" on page 4-22
