19.5 Changing Timer/Counter Set Value in the RUN Mode
19.5.1 Method to rewrite a constant in a program
■
Set value (constant) in a program
A constant in a program can be rewritten under the following conditions.
● Operation mode: RAM/ROM operation only
● Rewriting method: (1) Use the tool software
Here is an example of changing the set value of timer 0 from U30 to U50.
1. Place the cursor over the set value for Timer 0 ("U30").
2. Enter a new constant "U50" and press the <return> key.
3. Press <Ctrl> + <F1> keys to execute Convert PBs.
4. Press [Yes (Y)] after a confirmation message is displayed.
Operation and cautions after the change
● Timer/counter in operation continues the pre-change operation. The program will start
operating with the changed settings after the next execution condition changes from OFF to
ON.
● When a constant in a program is rewritten, the program itself is overwritten. Therefore, when
the unit is switched to another mode and then returned to RUN, or when it is powered off and
then on again, the program is preset with the changed set value.
