3. Fitting
Fitting of the connecting rod is carried out analogously to the removal but in re-
verse sequence, whereby attention must be paid to the instructions 3303−1 to
3303−3.
Remark: Take care that the marking FUEL SIDE on the connecting rod head
points to the fuel side!
For the assembly bearings and bearing pins must be in perfect condition. They
must be smeared lavishly with fresh bearing oil.
Measure the clearances according to Clearance Table 0330−1 ’Top and bottom
end bearings to connecting rod’.
Attention! After completing the work all tools must be removed immediately!
