⇒ Provide wooden underlay ’HU’ in the lower corner of the column as shown in
Fig. ’C’.
⇒ Direct the connecting rod towards exhaust side with lifting tackles H
1
and H
2
(Fig. ’B’) as far as to ensure that it can not tilt back to fuel side.
⇒ Remove lifting tackle H
2
and the corresponding RUD-eye bolt ’RC’ and slowly
swivel the connecting rod until it rests on wooden underlay ’HU’.
⇒ Remove lifting tackle H
1
. Lower the crosshead pin closely above the crank-
shaft (Fig. ’D’).
