• Enter the committed rate value in the Committed Rate field.
Note: Committed Rate is mandatory. Rest other parameters are optional. You cannot
configure committed burst or excess burst alone without committed rate.
It is preferable to configure committed burst/excess burst as 125 milliseconds of the
specified committed/peak rate.
• Set Commit Action as Drop, Transmit, or IP Mark. Select the required
option from the Commit Action drop-down list.
If you set Commit Action as IP Mark, set also the DSCP or IP
Precedence/ToS values.
i. Select DSCP radio button to set the DSCP values. Select DSCP
values from the DSCP drop-down list.
ii. Select IP Precedence/TOS radio button to set IP precedence value.
At least, IP Precedence or TOS value parameters must be
configured.
Select the IP Precedence check box, select IP Precedence value
from the drop down list. Select Type of Service check box, select the
type of service from the drop down list.
• Enter the peak-rate in the Peak-Rate field.
ii. Select Committed Burst in the Police Parameters box. Committed Burst
Parameters are displayed as shown below.
