Purpose
Enables the autonomous creation of dynamic RCCs within the MAC domain.
Default Access Level
15
Command Syntax
configure interface cable-mac <mac> cable dynamic-rcc
configure interface cable-mac <mac> cable dynamic-rcc no
Supplemental
Information
If dynamic-rcc is disabled, then the user must configure static RCCs for downstream channel bonding using the configure
interface cable-mac * cable rcp-id * command. See link below.
Note that configuring RCCs for each RCP-ID and each MAC Domain may be significant.
If dynamic-rcc is enabled, then the C4 CMTS will be able to dynamically create RCCs or use any configured static RCCs. Dynamically
creating RCCs reduces the user provisioning work and is flexible if channel configurations change. With verbose-cm-rcp disabled, the
CMTS will create dynamic RCCs only for well-known RCP-IDs (DOCSIS standard RCP-IDs and a few vendor-specific RCP-IDs). With
verbose-cm-rcp enabled, the C4 CMTS creates dynamic RCCs for most vendor- specific RCP-IDs. Conforming RCPs are defined using
the configure interface cable-mac * cable verbose-cm-rcp command.
Parameters
<mac>
The MAC identifier. Valid numbers are 0-415.
