Purpose
Configures the active (floater) IP address on the System Control Module (SCM).

configure interface ethernet <slot/port> active ip <ip addr> <netmask>
configure interface ethernet <slot/port> active ip [<ip addr>] [<netmask>] no

Information
The two valid slot numbers on the C4 CMTS are 19 and 20, either one may be used to define the active IP address. If the IP mask is
not provided, then it will default to the mask of the SCM interface IP address.
To remove the active IP address associated with the SCM Front Ethernet Port (IP address and mask are not required), use the no
option.
Parameters
<slot/port>
The chassis slot number and port of the System Control Module. Valid values for the C4 CMTS are 19 or 20; valid value for the C4c
CMTS is 19.
<ip addr>
The IP address of the ethernet interface
<netmask>
