Purpose
To establish IPv6 static routes through a gigabitethernet interface.
Default Access Level

Command Syntax
configure ipv6 route <ipv6-address1>/<prefix-length> gigabitethernet <interface> <ipv6-address2>
[admin-distance <int>] [metric <int>]
configure ipv6 route <ipv6-address1>/<prefix-length> gigabitethernet <interface> <ipv6-address2>

Information
To remove the static route, use the no option.
Parameters
<ipv6-address1>
Destination route address
<prefix-length>
Decimal value that indicates the length of the IPv6 prefix.
<interface>
The number of the interface in <RCM slot>/<port (0-9)> format.
Valid slot numbers for the C4 CMTS is 17-18; valid slot number for the C4c CMTS is 17
The gigabitEthernet port value on the RCM is (0-9).
<ipv6-address2>
Next hop address
[admin-distance
<int>]
Provides static routes priority over other types of routes except for connected routes. The default admin-distance is 1.
[metric <int>]
Compares this route to other routes with the same admin distance.
