Purpose
Sets the maximum number of attempts by a cable modem to range to an upstream channel without being heard by the C4 CMTS
before giving up on that upstream channel.

Information
To reset the default value, use the no option.
Parameters
<mac>
The MAC identifier. Valid numbers are 0-415.
<number of
attempts>
Valid range is 0 to 1024. Zero (0) means that the system would attempt to range forever.
Default is set at 16.
