day is represented by the days of the week or "daily" for every day as in the following list:
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday
Thursday Friday Saturday daily
hh:mm:ss is the time of day using a 24-hour clock when the trigger is to fire. This is referenced to the time-of-day value
stored in the C4/c CMTS.
hh is the hour, 00 to 23
mm is the minutes within that hour, 00 to 59
ss is the seconds, 00 to 59.
Use the following command to define an Improvement trigger:
configure cable spectrum-group trigger <trigger_ID> improvement [fec_err <threshold1>] [ufec_err
<threshold2>] [SNR <threshold3>]
Where: trigger_ID is a pointer to a global trigger that can be used for all state machines. Range = 1-64.
threshold1 is the minimum acceptable percentage of FEC errors (uncorrectable FEC errors plus correctable FEC errors)
for the current state expressed in thousandths of a percent. Range = 0 to 100000. Thus, 1 = 0.001% and 100,000 =
100%.
Default = 100000.
threshold2 is the minimum acceptable percentage of uncorrectable FEC errors for the current state, expressed in
thousandths of a percent. Range = 0 to 100000. Thus, 1 = 0.001% and 100,000 = 100%. Default = 100000.
threshold3 is the maximum acceptable signal to noise ratio (SNR) in tenths of deciBels for the current state. Range = 0
to 1000 inclusive. Default = 0.
The Integrated Upstream Agility feature defines each Improvement Trigger using the following Boolean expression:
Improvement Trigger = {Avg_SNR> threshold3} AND { %unc. fec errors < threshold2 AND %(unc + cor) fec
errors < threshold1 }
Use the following command to define a Degradation trigger:
configure cable spectrum-group trigger <trigger_ID> degradation [fec_err <threshold1>] [ufec_err
<threshold2>] [SNR <threshold3>]
Where: trigger_ID is a pointer to a global trigger that can be used for all state machines. Range = 1-64.
threshold1 is the maximum acceptable level of FEC errors (uncorrectable FEC errors plus correctable FEC errors) for
