learning [enable | disable] c Enables or disables the MAC address
learning on the specified range of ports.
state [enable | disable] − Enables or disables the specified range of
ports.
speed – Sets the speed of a port or range of ports, with the addition
of one of the following:
• auto − Enables auto-
negotiation for the specified range of
ports.
• [10 | 100 | 1000 | 10G] − Configures the speed in Mbps for
the specified range of ports.
• [half | full] − Configures the specified range of ports as either
full or half-duplex.
auto_downgrade [enable | disable] –
Specifies whether to
automatically downgrade the advertised speed when a link cannot
be established at the available speed.
Restrictions Only administrator or operate-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure the speed of ports 12-15 to be full duplex, learning, state and auto downgrade enabled:
DGS-1210-28MP/ME:5# config ports 12-15 mdix auto flow_control enable learning
enable state enable auto_downgrade enable
Command: config ports 12-15 mdix auto flow_control enable learning enable state

Purpose To configure the Switch’s Ethernet port settings.
Syntax
config ports [all | <portlist>] capability_advertised [1000_full |
100_full | 100_half | 10_full | 10_half | 10G_full] {[1000_full |
100_full | 100_half | 10_full | 10_half]}
Description
The config ports
command configures the Switch’s Ethernet port
settings. Only the ports listed in the <portlist> are affected.
Parameters
<portlist> − A port or range of ports to be configured.
all − Configures all ports on the Switch.
speed – Sets the speed of a port or range of ports, with the addition
of one of the following:
• [10 | 100 | 1000 | 10G] − Configures the speed in Mbps for
the specified range of ports.
• [half | full] − Configures the specified range of ports as either
full or half-duplex.
Restrictions Only administrator or operate-level users can issue this command.
