•EstablishandmanageVirtualLocalAreaNetworks
(VLANs).
•Establishandmanagestaticanddynamically‐assignedpolicyclassifications.

authentication.
Structure of This Guide
Theguideisorganizedasfollows:
Chapter 1,Introduction,providesanov erviewofthetasksthatcanbeaccomplishedusingthe
CLIinterface,anoverviewoflocalmanagementrequirements,anoverviewofthedevice’sfactory
defaultsettings,andinformationaboutusingtheCommandLineInterface(CLI).
Chapter 2,BasicConfiguration,provides
howtosetbasicsystemproperties,howtodownloada
firmwareimage,howtoconfigureWebViewandTelnet,howtomanageconfigurationfiles,how
tosettheloginpassword,andhowtoexittheCLI.
Chapter 3,ActivatingLicensedFeatures,describesthecommandsusedtoactivate,show,and
clearlicensedfeatures.
Chapter 4
,ConfiguringSystemPowerandPoE,describesthecommandsusedtomanage
switchesthatprovidePoweroverEthernet.
Chapter 5,DiscoveryProtocolConfigurationprovideshowtoconfigurediscoveryprotocols
supportedbythedevice.
Chapter 6,PortConfiguration,describeshowtoreviewandconfigureconsoleportsettings,and
howtoenableordisable
switchportsandconfigureswitchportsettings,includingportspeed,
duplexmode,auto‐negotiation,flowcontrol,portmirroring,linkaggegationandbroadcast
suppression.
