8-6-11 Fans and Fan Board Replacement Procedure (cont’d)
5) Carefully remove the fan by pulling it towards you. Leave each of the blue-colored shock absorbers
in position on the mounting pin at each of the four corners (see Figure 8-206 on page 8-165).
6) Disconnect the fan cable from the connector on the Fan Control Board.
7.) Route the fan cable (with connector attached) forwards through the rectangular-shaped hole, then
remove the fan and cable from the system, as shown in Figure 8-207 below.
