MECHANICAL COMPONENT CONTROLS
Accelerator pedal cable: Removal - Refitting
K4M, and 4X2 TRANSMISSION

a Unclip the accelerator cable at (3) .
a Disconnect the throttle valve accelerator cable at (6)
.
a Remove the adjusting clip (7) from the accelerator
cable.
a Remove the accelerator cable from the inlet distribu-
tor.
a Remove the accelerator pedal cable via the engine
compartment.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Pass the accelerator pedal cable into the passenger
compartment via the engine compartment.
a Clip the accelerator pedal cable sheath stop onto the
bulkhead.
a Position the accelerator pedal cable in the pedal
notch.
a Refit the accelerator pedal cable clip to the pedal.
a Refit the accelerator pedal cable to the inlet distribu-
tor.
a Clip on the accelerator pedal cable at (3) .
a Refit:
- the accelerator pedal cable on the throttle valve,
- the accelerator cable adjusting clip.
II - FINAL OPERATION
a Adjust the accelerator pedal cable by fully depress-
ing the accelerator pedal.
a Refit the brake fluid reservoir (see 37A, Mechanical
component controls, Master cylinder: Removal -
Refitting, page 37A-2) .
a Bleed the brake circuit (see 30A, General informa-
tion, Braking circuit: Bleed, page 30A-4) .
