I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) .
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) .
a Remove:
-the accessories belt (see 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal - Refitting,
page 11A-2) ,
-the alternator (see 16A, Starting - Charging, Al-
ternator: Removal - Refitting, page 16A-1) .
II - REMOVAL OPERATION FOR ALTERNATOR
PULLEY
a Unclip the alternator pulley protector (if equipped).
a Place the alternator in a vice jaw.
Equipment required
pneumatic or electric wrench
torque wrench
open-ended spanner for torque wrench
Tightening torquesm
alternator pulley 80 N.m
