Check the air conditioning compressor
belt tension (see Technical Note 3786A,
Engine and cylinder block assembly,
10A, Belt tension setting tool Hz
measurement: tension values).
Replace the belt. (see MR 451,
Mechanical, 11A, Top and front of
engine, Accessories belt: Removal -
Refitting).
Is the tension correct?
With the engine stopped, use the
diagnostic tool to run command
(depending on version) AC180 Air
conditioning compressor relay
control, AC003 or AC070 Air
conditioning compressor
(injection command mode menu).
Connect a test light between
connections 38R and compressor
earth (component 171) and run command
(depending on version) AC180 Air
conditioning compressor relay
control, AC003 or AC070 Air
conditioning compressor.Does the compressor clutch stick?
Does the test bulb illuminate?
Check the condition of the diode (component
597). Replace the diode if it is faulty.
