BATTERY
Battery: Removal - Refitting

2 - REMOVAL
a Remove the cover (2) from the positive battery ter-
minal.
a Loosen the bolt (3) of the positive battery terminal.
a Remove the positive battery terminal.
a Remove:
- the battery clamp bolt (4) ,
- the mounting clamp (5) ,
- the battery.
3 - REPLACEMENT
a Check that the battery needs replacing (see Techni-
cal Note 6014A, Checking the charging circuit,
16A, Starting-charging, Checking the charging
circuit: Tests).
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Check the battery (see Technical Note 9860A,
80A, Battery).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
1 - REFITTING
a Position the battery in its housing.
a Refit:
- the battery mounting clamp,
- the battery bracket bolt.
a Torque tighten the battery bracket bolt (12 Nm).
