4.2.23 DEFAULT - RESETTING TO DEFAULT
Parameter #43 (DEFAULT) resets all of the RFL 9300’s programmable parameters to their
most secure setting. Tables 4-1 and 4-2 show the factory default settings for each parameter.
These settings are based on maximum security. During laboratory evaluation, you may want to
use the factory default settings to make all settings as secure as possible.
Any time you reset to default, any parameter settings you have made will be erased from mem-
ory and permanently lost.
NOTE
This parameter is not displayed in the APRIL Read Settings menus of Figures 6-10
and 6-11, or the parameter settings list of Figure 6-24.

4.2.24 BEEPER - BEEPER CONTROL
Parameter #44 (BEEPER) controls the RFL 9300's audible beeper. When set to ENABLE, the
beeper will sound during alarms, and occasionally during normal RFL 9300 operation. If this pa-
rameter is set to DISABLE, the beeper is silenced.
4.2.25 DISPLAY/INT. - DISPLAY INTENSITY CONTROL
Parameter #45 (DISPLAY/INT.) controls the brightness of the RFL 9300's display. It can be set
to one of four brightness levels. It can be kept where it is for now; later, when the RFL 9300 is
installed in the field, you may want to adjust the intensity to suit the ambient light conditions.
NOTE
This parameter is not displayed in the APRIL Read Settings menus of Figures 6-
10 and 6-11, or the parameter settings list of Figure 6-24.
4.2.26 XMT ADD1 - TRANSMIT ADDRESS 1
Parameter #46 (XMT ADD1) is the address of the local unit. It is user selectable from 0016 to
4079. This address gets transmitted to the corresponding remote unit for address verification. The
sum of the local address and the remote address must equal 4095. For example, if the local ad-
dress is 4000, then the remote address must be 0095. The transmit address #1 feature of the RFL
9300 is disabled when XMT ADD1 = 0000.
4.2.27 XMT ADD2 - TRANSMIT ADDRESS 2
Parameter #47 (XMT ADD2) is the address of the local unit. It is user selectable from 0016 to
4079. This address gets transmitted to the corresponding remote unit for address verification. The
sum of the local address and the remote address must equal 4095. For example, if the local ad-
dress is 4000, then the remote address must be 0095. The transmit address #2 feature of the RFL
9300 is disabled when XMT ADD2 = 0000. XMT ADD2 is not displayed when the relay is config-
ured for 2-terminal operation.
