Notes for Tables 8-1 and 8-2:
1. The asterisk (*) indicates factory default values.
2. When this parameter is enabled and the [ENT] key is pressed, the Display Controller requests that the PROGRAM mode security
code (.248) be entered. Once it is, all parameter values will be reset to the default values listed above. These are the values the pa-
rameters are set to before the RFL 9300 leaves the factory.
3. When this parameter is set to ENABLE, the audible beeper can be used to notify the operator if an alarm condition exists. During pro-
longed alarm conditions, the user may wish to disable the beeper until the condition is corrected. It is recommended that this parame-
ter remain enabled. Alarms may not be noticed if the display is in the READ or PROGRAM mode, or if the RFL 9300 is not being
manned and the user is depending on the beeper to indicate an alarm condition.
4. When this parameter is shown, the [8] and [0] keys can be used to increase or decrease the display intensity (or brightness). When
the setting is changed, the bottom line of the display will change to the new intensity, while the top line unit remains constant as a ref-
erence. When the [ENT] key is pressed, both lines assume the new intensity setting.
5. In dual-channel systems, either channel number may be displayed if COMM MODE (Parameter #49) is set to AUTO.
6. This parameter applies to three-pole systems only.
7. This parameter applies to single-pole systems only.
