5. Program the local RFL 9300 transmit addresses as follows:
a. In three-terminal installations, two transmit addresses (Tx1 and Tx2) must be programmed
at each terminal. This means that a total of six transmit addresses must be programmed in
a three-terminal installation as shown in Figure 6-28.
b. On the display module keypad press the ENT key three times to get into the
PROGRAM/DISABLE screen.
c. Press the 8 key to get into the PROGRAM/ENABLE screen.
d. Press the ENT key to enter the SEC CODE screen. (The 9300 is asking the operator for
the security code)
e. Press .248 ENT. This will get you into the PH BIAS screen in programming mode.
f. Go to the XMT ADD1 screen by doing one of the following:
- Press the ENT key repeatedly until you get to the XMT ADD1 screen.
- Hold the ENT key down to scroll to the XMT ADD1 screen.
- Enter .46 ENT to get to the XMT ADD1 screen.
g. Press 8 to scroll up, or press 0 to scroll down to the desired transmit address for the local
RFL 9300. Holding the key down will accelerate the rate at which the numbers change.
After about 5 seconds the numbers will scroll by 100’s. If you press 9 it will cancel the
current setting and go back to the previous setting. The transmit address is user select-
able from 0016 to 4079. This address gets transmitted to the corresponding remote unit
for address verification. The sum of the transmit address of a given terminal, and the
transmit address of its “mate” must equal 4095. For example, if the transmit address (Tx1)
of the local unit is set to 4055, then the transmit address (Tx1) of the remote 1 unit must
be set to 0040.)
h. For this procedure set the transmit address (Tx1) of the local RFL 9300 to 4055.
i. Then press the ENT key to get to the XMT ADD2 screen. Set the transmit address (Tx2) of
the local RFL 9300 to 0050. Then press the ENT key. (See Figure 6-28A.)
j. To exit the programming mode press .0 ENT. This will get you to the EXIT screen. If the
screen reads EXIT/DISABLE press the 8 key to get into the EXIT/ENABLE screen.
k. Press the ENT key to enter the SEC CODE screen. (The 9300 is asking the operator for
the security code)
l. Press .248 ENT.
m. The word ALARM will still be displayed at the top line of the display, and typically the num-
bers “16 or 17”, “34 or 35” and “46” will still appear on the bottom line. The numbers may
be different due to factory test settings. (A complete list of alarm codes appears in Table
6-4 of this Section).
n. The local RFL 9300 will remain in this state as long as the remote 1 and remote 2 termi-
nals are turned OFF, and as long as the remote 1 and remote 2 terminal addresses have
not been programmed.
o. This completes the programming of the local unit transmit addresses (Tx1 and Tx2).
