6.4.2.3 EXITING THE READ MODE
To exit the READ mode, proceed as follows:
1. Press the [.] key, followed by the [0] and [ENT] keys.
The word "EXIT" will appear on the top line of the display, and the word "DISABLE" will
appear on the bottom line of the display.
2. Press the [8] key once.
The word "ENABLE" will appear on the bottom line of the display.
3. Press the [ENT] key.
The RFL 9300 will return to the STANDBY mode, and the display will return to the mov-
ing dot pattern.
6.4.3 THE STARTUP MODE
The Startup Mode is used during field commissioning of the relays and requires a password for entry and exit.
The Startup Mode parameters are shown in Tables 6-7 and 6-8. Refer to paragraph 8.4 for detailed informa-
tion on the Startup Mode. Refer to Section 8 for detailed information on field commissioning.
6.4.3.1 ENTERING THE STARTUP MODE
To enter the STARTUP Mode from the STANDBY mode, proceed as follows:
1. Press the [ENT] key two times.
The word "STARTUP" will appear on the top line of the display, and the word "DISABLE"
will appear on the bottom line.
2. Press the [8] key once.
The word "ENABLE" will appear on the bottom line of the display.
3. Press the [ENT] key.
The message "SEC CODE" will appear on the display. This means that you must enter a
security code before the RFL 9300 will enter the STARTUP Mode. Press the [.], [1], [3],[5]
and [ENT] keys as the required security code.
The relay should now be in startup mode and the display will show that the Phase Sequence Test has begun.
The relay will indicate a system alarm.
6.4.3.2 DISPLAYING PARAMETERS
Shown below is the parameter number for each displayed value and a brief description of its meaning.
001 - Ping Pong R1 Ping-pong delay for remote 1. Equal to one-half the round-trip delay.
002 - Ping Pong R2 Ping-pong delay for remote 2. Equal to 1/2 the round-trip delay. (3 terminal only)
003 - Sequence Test Phase Sequence Test.
004 - Diff Cur Test Differential Current Test.
005 - Local I A Local Phase A current.
006 - Local I B Local Phase B current.
007 - Local I C Local Phase C current.
008 - Local 3I0 Local 3I
