ThetransducerdockcanbesuppliedbyKongsbergMaritime.Alternatively,youcan
designandmanufactureacustomtransducerdock.
Onlythebasicstepsofthetaskareoffered.Additionalprocedureswithmoreinformation
and/ordetailsmustbeprovidedbytheinstallationshipyardtotthevesselproperties.
•Thetopmatingsurfaceofthegatevalvemustbeprotectedwithawoodencoverat
alltimesuntilthetransducerdockisinstalled.Itisveryimportantthatthissurface
iscleanandundamaged,becauseitmustbewatertightafterthetransducerdock
hasbeeninstalled.
•Thetopmatingsurfaceofthetransducerdockmustbeprotectedwithawoodencover
atalltimesuntilthehullunitisinstalled.Itisveryimportantthatthissurfaceisclean
andundamaged,becauseitmustbewatertightafterthehullunithasbeeninstalled.
Procedure
1Attachthenecessarytacklestothetransducerdock,andmakesurethattheunitis
liftedwiththecorrectsideup.
Verifythatthebottomofthetransducerdockwillmatchtheangeonthegatevalve.
2Lowerthetransducerdockdownintothehullunitcompartment,butstopwhenthe
unitisafewcentimetresabovethegatevalve.
Note
Donotdamageanyofthematingsurfaces.
3Preparethegatevalve.
aRemovetheprotectivecoverfromthematingsurfaceonthegatevalve.
bVerifythatthematingsurfaceonthegatevalveiscleanandundamaged.
cWipeathinlmofsiliconegreaseontheO-ringandplaceitinthegroove
onthegatevalve.
4Attachthenutsandwasherswhilethetransducerdockisstillsuspended.
