ship’shullwhentheST90shallbeused.ThisisakeyfunctionalityoftheST90.Itisvery
importantthatthehoist/lowerfunctionistestedbeforetheST90isputtooperationaluse.
Inordertotestthelowerandhoistfunctionalityofthehullunit,twotasksmustbedone
simultaneously.Twopersonsarerequired.
•OnepersonmuststayonthebridgeinordertooperatetheST90.
•OnepersonmuststayinthesonarroomtoverifythattheTransceiverUnitstarts,and
thatthehullunitworksproperly.
Certainstepsinthetwoproceduresarelocationspecic.
•Thestepsmarked[Sonarroom]aredoneinthesonarroom.
•Thestepsmarked[Bridge]aredoneonthebridge.
Note
Properoralcommunicationmustexistbetweenthebridgeandthesonarroom.Inthe
eventofproblemsormalfunctions:
