3Ifthehullunitisplacedonatransducerdockandagatevalve,design,manufacture
andmountpropermechanicalsupportbracketsfromthetopofthemountingange
tothebulkhead.
aMountthesupportbracketsusingtwo(ormore)oftheexistingmounting
angebolts.
bVerifythatitispossibletoremovethesupportbracketsifmaintenanceis
required.
cVerifythatthetransducercableisnotobstructedbythesupportbrackets.
4Ifapplicable:
aDoaclosevisualinspectionofthephysicalpropertiesoftheinstallationtrunk
andthewayithasbeeninstalled.
bMakesurethattheinstallationtrunkhasbeenproperlybracedtothehull
platingandthesurroundinghullframes.
cMakesurethattheinstallationtrunkhasbeenproperlystiffenedinboththe
fore-and-aftandathwartshipdirectionsbymeansofstrengtheningkneeplates.
5Ifapplicable:
aDoaclosevisualinspectionofthemountingange,gatevalveandtransducer
dock,andinspectthewaytheyhavebeeninstalled.
bMakesurethatthetransducerdockhasbeenproperlybracedtothehullplating,
bulkheadsand/orthesurroundinghullframesbymeansofstrengtheningplates.
cMakesurethatthetransducerdockhasbeenproperlystiffenedinboththe
fore-and-aftandathwartshipdirectionsbymeansofkneeplatesorsupport
brackets.
