5Inspectallsurfacesforsignsofcorrosion,aking,bubblingpaint,stainsetc.
6Cleandamagedorsuspectareas,prepareandpreservetheseareasusingthecorrect
preservationmediums.
7Wipecleanallexposedcables,andcheckfordamage.
Ifacableshowssignsofwearorageing,contactKongsbergMaritimeforadvice.
8Secureandprotectlooseparts.
9Ifthehullunitshallbesenttostorageorshipped,sprayitexternallyusinga
corrosioninhibitor(forexamplealightoil)priortopacking.
10Ifrelevant,placeasuitablysizedbagofdesiccantmaterial(silicagelorsimilar)
intothetostorage/transportboxtokeepthecomponentsasdryaspossible.

afteryearinanadvancedproduct,butthenfailduetoasmallsparkofstaticelectricity.
