Aqualityinspectionmusttakeplaceafterthehullunithasbeeninstalled,andwhilethe
vesselisstillindrydock.Theinspectionshallverifythatthesonarroommeetsthe
requirements,andthatthehullunithasbeeninstalledcorrectly.

areinstalled.
Procedure
1Makesurethatthehullunitisinstalledinthecorrectlocation,andthatitissuitably
orientedforeasymaintenanceandreplacementofparts.
2Makesurethattheunitisnotphysicallydamaged,andthatthepaint-workisclean
withoutdentsorscratches.
Thephysicalhandlingoftheunitduringtheinstallationmayhavecausedsome
minorscratchestothepaint-work.Thiscanbeaccepted.However,ifrough
handlinghascausedseriousdamagetotheunit,thismustberecordedwithawritten
statementandnecessaryphotos,sothatcorrectiveactionscanbemade.
