Theelectrichoistingmotoronthehullunitrequires3-phaseACpowerforoperation.
TheMotorControlUnitisequippedwithaPhaseWatchRelay(K303).Thisrelay
preventsoperationofthehoistingmotorifthe3-phaseACpowerconnectionsarewrong
withrespecttothemotor'srotationaldirection.
Prerequisites
•TheST90isturnedoff.
•Thecircuitbreakerforthe3-phase
ACpowerisclosed.ACpower
isconnected.
Youmustbeequippedwitha
standardsetoftools.Thistoolset
mustcomprisethenormaltoolsfor
electronicandelectromechanical
tasks.Thisincludesdifferent
screwdrivertypes,pliers,spanners,
acablestripper,asolderingiron,
etc.Eachtoolmustbeprovidedin
varioussizes.Werecommendthat
alltoolsaredemagnetizedtoprotect
yourequipment.
Context
ThePhaseWatchRelayK303is
locatedattherightsideoftheMotor
ControlUnit.LEDL1indicatesthatthePhaseWatchRelayK303isactivated.Thismean
thatthe3-phasevoltageisapplied,andthatthethreephasesarecorrectlyconnectedwith
regardtotherotationdirectionofthehoistingmotor.

Highvoltagesareused.Thisequipmentmustbeservicedonlybyqualied
personnelfamiliarwithhigh-voltageequipmentandthepotentialhazards
involved.Failuretoobservethisprecautioncouldresultinbodilyinjury.
Procedure
1LocateHoist/LowerSwitch(S302).SettheswitchtopositionSTOP.
2LocatetheMotorProtectingSwitch(S301).Presstheoperatinghandleupwardsto
positionON.
3VerifythatLEDL1onthefrontofthePhaseWatchRelay(K303)islit.
4IftheLEDisnot
lit:
aTodisconnectpower,disengagethecircuitbreakerforthe3-phaseACvoltage.
