•Alloperatingpowerisavailable.
•AllperipheraldevicesthatshallcommunicatewiththeST90areavailableand
operational.
•Allrelevantpersonnelandtoolsareavailable.
Context
Someofthesetasksmaybedonewhilethevesselisindrydock.However,weassume
thatthevesselissetaoatbeforeyoustartwiththe"settingtowork"procedures.

YoumustneverstartST90transmissions("pinging")whentheshipisindrydock.The
transducermaybedamagedifittransmitsinopenair .Itisthereforeveryimportant
thattheST90systemremainsswitchedoff
whenthevesselisindrydock,andthatno
onetriestouseit.
