TheProcessorUnitcanbeinstalledinsideaconsole,insideasuitablecabinet,ina19"
rackoronadesk.Whenmountedonahorizontalfoundation,forexampleinsidea
cabinet,rackorconsole,usethebottomplatewiththetwobaserails.Thesearetted
withshockabsorbers.
Prerequisites
Youmustbeequippedwithastandardsetoftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethe
normaltoolsforelectronicandelectromechanicaltasks.Thisincludesdifferent
screwdrivertypes,pliers,spanners,acablestripper,asolderingiron,etc.Eachtool
mustbeprovidedinvarioussizes.Werecommendthatalltoolsaredemagnetizedto
protectyourequipment.
AsuitablelocationfortheProcessorUnitmustbedenedpriortoinstallation.Observe
thecompasssafedistance.
AThebottomplateismountedwithsixboltsthrough
thecomputerchassis.
BEachrailprovidestwoholesformountingtoa
atsurface.
CRemovethisbolttoreleasetherailfromthe
bottomplate.

rack,youcandisregardthisprocedure.However,you
maythenwishtoremovethebottomplateandshock
absorbersasdescribedinthisprocedure,asthesewill
notberequired.
Procedure
1Preparethelocationandthenecessarytools.
2Observetheinstallationrequirements.

acabinetor19”rack,oronadesk.
bChooseapositiontottheavailablecablelengthsbetweenthecomputerand
theotherunitsitconnectsto.
cObservethecompasssafedistance.
dMakesurethatenoughspaceismadeavailableformaintenancepurposes.
eMakesurethatadequateventilationisavailabletoavoidoverheating.
fMakesurethattheinstallationmethodallowsforthephysicalvibration,
movementsandforcesnormallyexperiencedonavessel.
