"readytoping"acknowledgefromthe"Slave"system.

IfyouusetheST90as"Master"tocontroltwo"Slave"systems,youmustconnecta
singlecable(plusground)fromtheReadytoSend(RTS)outputontheMastersystemto
theCleartoSend(CTS)inputonboth"Slave"systems.ThereturnfromtheReadyto
Send(RTS)outputsonthe"Slave"systemscannotbeconnected.

IfyouwanttousetheST90asamasterorslaveinasynchronizedsystem,youmustset
itupforsuchoperation.Todothis,youmustselectwhichcommunicationporttousefor
thesynchronizationinterface,andyoumustselecttherequestedsynchronizationmode.
Prerequisites
Thisprocedureassumesthat:
•Thevesselisberthedoratsea.
•YouhaveanRS2-232interfaceportonyourProcessorUnitthatallowsyoutousethe
CTS/RTSconnections.
For"slave"operation,aremotesystem(forexampleK-SyncorSimradTU40)mustbe
availabletoprovidetriggerpulses.For"master"operation,aremotehydroacoustic
system(sonar,echosounder)isconnected.Thisremotesystemmustbesetupin"slave"
mode.
Youmustbeequippedwithastandardsetoftools.Thistoolsetmustcomprisethe
normaltoolsforelectronicandelectromechanicaltasks.Thisincludesdifferent
screwdrivertypes,pliers,spanners,acablestripper,asolderingiron,etc.Eachtool
mustbeprovidedinvarioussizes.Werecommendthatalltoolsaredemagnetizedto
protectyourequipment.
