sensorsmustbeconnected.Typicalsensorsarethosethatprovidespeed,heading
andgeographicalposition.Tosetupthecommunicationparametersontheserialand
LANports,usetheI/OSetuppage.Toselectwhichsensorstoinstall,usetheSensor
Installationpage.TheSensorCongurationpageallowsyoutodeneadatagrampriority,
sothattheinformationfromthe"mostreliable"sensorisusedbytheST90.Youcanalso
denemanualvaluesincaseasensorisunserviceable,ornotinstalled.
Prerequisites
ThenewsensorisphysicallyconnectedtotheST90usingaserialornetworkcable.
Context
TheSensorInstallationpageallowsyourST90tocommunicatewithexternalsensors
andsystems.However,inordertocommunicatewitheachsensor,youmustrstsetup
therelevantcommunicationparameters.Oncethecommunicationhasbeenestablished
andthesensorisconnected,youmustdenethedatagrampriorityandnalizethe
conguration.
