afewcentimetresabovethemountingange.
Note
Donotdamagethematingsurfacesonthevalve,theendswitches,or(ifrelevant)
thehydraulicactuator.
3Verifythatthematingsurfaceonthevalveiscleanandundamaged.
4Preparethemountingange.
aRemovetheprotectivecoverfromthematingsurfaceonthemountingange.
bVerifythatthematingsurfaceonthemountingangeiscleanandundamaged.
cWipeathinlmofsiliconegreaseontheO-ringandplaceitinthegrooveon
themountingange.
5Attachthenutsandwasherswhilethegatevalveisstillsuspended.
Duetothelimitedspace,itmaybedifculttoenterand/ortightensomeofthenuts.
AnalternativeisthentouseLoctite270orsimilar.
6Lubricatethethreadswithahighgradecommercialanti-seizelubricant.
7Lowerthevalvecarefullyontothemountingangewhiletighteningthenuts.
8Verifythatthevalveisorientatedandalignedcorrectly.
9Disconnectandremovethetacklesfromthegatevalve.
10Tightenthenutstotorque472Nm.

Thetransducerdockismountedonthetopofthegatevalve.Thetopmatingsurface
isinparallelwiththeseasurfaceduringnormaloperatingconditions.Thetransducer
dockprotectsthetransducerwhentheST90isnotused.
Prerequisites
Thistaskmusttakeplaceindrydock.Theshipyardmustprovideallnecessarytoolsand
manpower.Thefollowingspecicitemsarerequiredforthistask.
