Checkingthetransducerloweringandhoistingfunctionality
Duringnormaloperation,thetransducerisloweredandhoistedfromtheOperating
Panel.Duringthisfunctionaltest,however,theoperationiscontrolledfromtheMotor
ControlUnit.
Prerequisites
Beforeyoucandothistask,the
followingprerequisitesmustbemet:
•TheST90isturnedoff.
•Thecircuitbreakerforthe3-phase
ACpowerisclosed.ACpower
isconnected.
•Thetransducerisinitsupper
positionwiththeUpperLimit
Switch(S304)activated.
Youmustbeequippedwitha
standardsetoftools.Thistoolset
mustcomprisethenormaltoolsfor
electronicandelectromechanical
tasks.Eachtoolmustbeprovided
invarioussizes.Werecommendthat
alltoolsaredemagnetizedtoprotect
yourequipment.

•Youwillverifythatthetransducercanbeloweredandhoistedwithlocalcontrol.
•Youwillndthebestwaytosecurethetransducercablesothatitmovesfreelyduring
loweringandhoisting.

Highvoltagesareused.Thisequipmentmustbeservicedonlybyqualied
personnelfamiliarwithhigh-voltageequipmentandthepotentialhazards
involved.Failuretoobservethisprecautioncouldresultinbodilyinjury.
Procedure
1Makesurethatyouhavesufcientwaterdepthbelowthekeelbeforeyoulower
thetransducer.
2LocatethehandcrankinsidetheMotorControlUnit.Removethehandcrank
fromitsstorageposition.
