theST90delivery.
Detaileddrawingsareprovidedforrelevantcables.Eachdrawingprovidesadditional
information,andmay,whenapplicable,includeminimumspecications,connector
terminationsandtherequirednumberofcores.Drawingsaregenerallynotprovidedfor
standardcommercialcables.Cablesfallintothreecategories.
1Systemcables:ThesecablesareprovidedbyKongsbergMaritimeasapartofthe
ST90delivery.
2Shipyardcables:Thesecablesmustbeprovidedbytheshipyardperformingthe
installation,ortheshipowner.Itisveryimportantthatthecablesusedmeetthe
minimumspecicationsprovidedinthismanual.
3Commercialcables:ThesecablesmaybeprovidedbyKongsbergMaritimeasa
partoftheST90delivery.Theymayalsobeincludedwiththirdpartyitemsthat
areusedwiththeST90.
Allelectronicinstallationsandcorrespondingwiringmustbeinaccordancewiththe
vessel'snationalregistryandcorrespondingmaritimeauthorityand/orclassication
society.

Itisveryimportantthatallcablesareproperlyinstalledandcorrectlyterminated.
Observetherelevantregulationsandworkstandards.Alwaysleaveenoughcableslack
closetosystemunitsandcabinetstoallowformaintenance.
OnlyskilledandauthorizedpersonnelcaninstalltheST90cables.
KongsbergMaritimeacceptsnoresponsibilityfordamagetothesystem,orreduced
operationalperformance,whenthisiscausedbyimproperwiring.
BeforeyouinstallormaintaintheST90cables,makesurethattheACmainscircuit
breakerforthesystemisswitchedoff.
