referenceunit(MRU).Thiswillminimizethevectorswhenyourvesselismoving.Use
thevesseldrawingstoestablishtheoffsetvaluesbetweenthebasicpositionoftheShip
OriginandtheMRUlocation.
IfyoudonothaveamotionsensoryoucanplacetheShipOriginatanylocationonthe
vessel.Wesuggestthatyouplacetheoriginunderthecaptain’ sseatonthebridge.All
sensorswillthenbereferencedtothisposition.Wheneverasonarisusedwithshort
ranges,thiswillprovideamoreprecisepresentation.
Procedure
1OpentheSetupmenu.
2OntheSetupmenu,selectInstallation.
ObservethattheInstallationdialogboxopens.Thisdialogboxcontainsanumber
ofpagesselectedfromthemenuontheleftside.
3OntheleftsideoftheInstallationdialogbox,selectthesmallwhitetrianglenextto
InstallationParameters.
Observethatamenuopenswithaccesstoalltheindividualpages.
4OpentheShippage.
5Insertthephysicaldimensionsofyourvessel(lengthandwidth).
Dothisasaccuratelyaspossible.Thisinformationisusedtocreateaneworiginin
theST90coordinatesystem.
6Offset:
aIfyouwanttokeepthedefaultreferencepoint(origin),leavealloffsetvalues
to0(zero).
bIfyouwanttomovethereferencepointtoanotherlocation,usethenecessary
offsetvalues.
Tondtheseoffsetvalues,consultthevesseldrawings.Dothisasaccurately
aspossible.
7Atthebottomofthepage,selectApplytosaveyoursettings.
8ContinueyourworkintheInstallationdialogbox,orselectOKtocloseit.
