Theforcestowhichthegatevalve,transducerdockandhullunitareexposeddepends

onthephysicalsizeofthecompleteinstallation,whereitislocated,andthevessel's

behaviourinroughsea.Itisveryimportantthattheentireinstallationissufciently

supported,astheforcesitisexposedtomayaffectboththephysicalinstallationandthe

vessel'ssafety.Themechanicalsupportbracketsmustbedesignedandmanufactured

bytheinstallationshipyardtotthecompleteinstallationinthesonarroom.We

recommendthatsupportbracketsareplacedpointingatminimumthreedirectionswith

approximately120degreesbetweenthem.Allcalculationsmadetosupportthedesign

mustmeettheapplicablesafetyrequirements,andapplytothephysicalpropertiesofthe

hullandtheinstallation.
