Environmental Specifications
This product fulfills several environmental conditions, such as ambient temperatures and
relative humidity levels, for storage, transportation, and stationary operation of the
equipment. These environmental conditions are specified in:
l Telcordia SR-3580 Level 3 (NEBS)
o
GR-63-CORE Issue 4, April 2012
o
GR-1089-CORE
l ETSI EN 300 019-1-1 V2.2.1 (2014-04) Storage Class 1.2
l ETSI EN 300 019-1-2 V2.2.1 (2014-04) Transportation Class 2.2
l ETSI EN 300 019-1-3 V2.4.1 (2014-04) Stationary use at weather-protected locations
Class 3.1
These minimum and maximum values of temperature and humidity are
not met simultaneously.
To ensure that the ambient temperatures and relative humidity levels
required for the storage, transportation, and stationary operation of the
equipment are fulfilled, install the equipment in a location that meets the
qualifications specified in the previously listed documents.
If a module does not meet the environmental conditions specified in the previously
mentioned standards, the minimum and maximum values for temperature and humidity
are stated explicitly in the respective section for the module.
In this guide, the phrase short term means a duration shorter than 96 consecutive hours
and a maximum of 360 hours per year. In addition, a short-term condition must not occur
more than 15 times per year.
When you receive your system, leave the equipment in its shipping box at
the final installation location for a minimum of 24 hours. Doing so allows
the equipment time to adjust to room temperature, which prevents
thermal shock from rapid temperature change and surface condensation.
